Reports to: Controller

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 PM

Dress Code: Business Casual

Job Overview:

Lead and direct the Company's accounting and finance functions. Oversee effective project and change managment. Establish and maintain overall policies, procedures, internal controls and accounting and reporting systems. Analyze financial information, prepare financial reports.

Responsibilities and Duties: (not all-inclusive list)

  • Maintain accounts receivable/payable by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions and ensuring timely collections/payments.

  • Process multi-state weekly payroll and tax remittance.

  • Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits and termination processes.

  • Work with external accountants and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Manage compliance programs and industry certification.

  • Update and maintain company policies, including the Employee Handbook.

  • Assist with managing insurance provider relationships

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, office management or related fields.

  • Strong Knowledge of accounting principles, payroll processing, and office administration.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to analyze data, resolve discrepancies, and make informed decisions.

  • Self-starter and able to work independently

  • Must be able to sit for several hours at a time

  • Finger dexterity (most of the day is spent using computer & keyboard)
